Shutdown, but not forgotten. SanFranPreps.com was a widely successful niche news agency, operating in the under served market of San Francisco Bay Area high school sports. Despite a growing and engaged following, the site was forced to shutdown after two prior rounds of successful crowdfunding. Still popular with the students they used to feature stories, I relaunched the site with a new magazine style layout in late 2016.

Can't plan for the future, unless you know where you've been. VIEW PROJECT This portfolio was built specially for my graduation project from Art Institute. Leveraging online frameworks and resources, and customizing to my needs - I was able to quickly build an animation-heavy portfolio website. Designed for "walk-by" engagement, the visitors to the portfolio show where this was showcased, might only take a few seconds to view my work. Large, engaging images with small amounts of text worked well to allow for quick interactions.

The Simpler Way to Rebuild Native Modules in Electron

This issue has plagued me more than I care to admit. Since Electron is developing at a furious rate, you may have a new Electron version to compile to every few days it feels. Each time they update something in the core, you'll have to recompile any native modules that your project might be using. In my case, I was using paulcbetts/node-system-idle-time. Each time I upped the Electron version, I would get 5 different compile, node, or app errors. Just Rebuild they say... When in doubt, run electron-rebuild they say. Use node-pre-gyp. Set a few environmental variables. None of these…
